Michael Andrews has always been concerned about having the least impact of our natural resources by purchasing gold and sterling silver produced from recycled materials since 1994, when he first started making jewelry. 

Unlike mining, where approximately 20 tons of waste is generated to produce just one ounce of gold, refining precious metals and scrap that is sourced from other industries has virtually no waste. Think of it; for every gold ring, about 10 tons of mining waste may impact the environment and people somewhere.
